$125 Paid Focus Group for Virginia Teens

Big Bang Recruiting is assisting the Rescue Agency and the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth (VFHY) in conducting a paid research study with people, ages 13-17. They are conducting virtual interviews and focus groups with teens to learn more about their perceptions of current trends in language use and language use preference for select survey statements. This information will be used to inform future health promotions that aim to improve teen health and wellness by ensuring health communication tools are adopting current trends in teen language use. If you are eligible and participate, you’ll receive a $125 incentive for sharing your thoughts and opinions during a 60-minute interview or 90-minute focus group. Participants must have a working laptop or desktop computer with a microphone and video capability. *Must have parental consent.

Please answer the questions below to see if you or someone you know would be a good candidate for this study. The demographic questions are asked so that we are sure to get a mix of different ages, gender, ethnicity, education, occupation, etc. Answers are used for that purpose only.

What should you expect? After completing the preliminary survey, we will look for people who fit within the research specifications. If you fall into this category, we will reach out to you to confirm your participation and provide further details. If you do not hear from us, we will send an email at the end of the research window to say thanks and provide info about how to be considered for future studies.
